Masure Gallery Representation

We’re excited to open the doors to new and established talent through our representation program at Masure Gallery of Photography, located inside Fort Worth Camera and presented by The Print Refinery. This initiative is designed to celebrate creativity, foster growth, and provide photographers with a platform to showcase their work to a wider audience.

Below are the eligibility guidelines for participation:

Eligibility Guidelines

Emerging Artists Welcome: This opportunity is ideal for artists who are not yet represented by a professional gallery or actively selling their work through a personal website.

Fresh Perspectives Encouraged: We’re looking for creatives who are in the early stages of showcasing their work publicly.

Open to New Voices: This is a space for artists who are ready to take the next step in sharing their work with a broader audience.

Professional & Established Local Photographers: Images submitted by professional photographers are agreed to be represented and distributed exclusively through the gallery for the duration of the agreement term.

Image Representation Agreement

This Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between the submitting artist/photographer ("Artist") and Masure Gallery ("Gallery") regarding the representation of selected photographic images.

1. Representation Scope

The Gallery agrees to represent the selected image(s) submitted by the Artist. This representation applies solely to the image(s) chosen by the Gallery and does not extend to the Artist’s broader portfolio or other works.

The selected works will be:

  • Included in Various Exhibitions: The Gallery will feature the image(s) in curated exhibitions, both in-store and potentially off-site.
  • Promoted  Online: The works will be showcased on the Gallery’s website and digital platforms to reach a wider audience.
  • Available for Large-Scale Installations: The Gallery may offer the image(s) for use in large-format installations, including public or commercial spaces.
  • Offered to Private Collectors: The works will be made available for acquisition by private collectors through the Gallery’s network.
  • Sold In-Store: The image(s) will be represented and sold through the      Gallery’s physical retail space.

2. Copyright and Ownership

The Artist retains full copyright ownership of the selected image(s). However, by entering into this Agreement, the Artist grants the Gallery exclusive rights to sell, distribute, and promote the selected image(s) for a minimum period of ten (10) years from the date of acceptance.

3. Image Selection

The Gallery reserves the right to accept or reject any image submission at its sole discretion. Reasons for rejection may include, but are not limited to:

  • Insufficient image resolution or quality for professional printing.
  • Duplication or similarity to existing images already represented by the Gallery.
  • Subject matter that may present a conflict of interest or require third-party consent (e.g., recognizable individuals or proprietary content).
  • Content that includes sensitive or confidential information not suitable for public display.

4. Distribution and Sales

During the representation period, the Gallery shall have the exclusive right to produce, market, and sell prints of the selected image(s). This exclusivity means the Artist agrees not to sell, reproduce, or distribute the selected image(s) independently or through any other channels, whether online, in-person, or via third parties, for the full duration of this Agreement.

The Gallery’s distribution and sales efforts may include:

  • Print Production: Creating high-quality prints in various formats and sizes for sale and display.
  • Marketing & Promotion: Featuring the works in promotional campaigns, newsletters, and social media to increase visibility and reach.
  • Exhibition Inclusion: Displaying the image(s) in curated exhibitions, both within the gallery and at partner venues.
  • Website Listings: Showcasing the works on the Gallery’s website, with options for online purchase or inquiry.
  • Large-Scale Installations: Offering the image(s) for use in public or commercial installations, including murals, wall art, and interior design projects.
  • Private Collector Access: Presenting the works to private collectors through the Gallery’s network and sales channels.

5. Termination

This Agreement may be terminated by mutual written consent of both parties. Upon termination, all rights granted to the Gallery under this Agreement shall revert to the Artist, except for any outstanding obligations or pending sales that have not been fulfilled.

6. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this Agreement shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located in Tarrant County, Texas.

Compensation Structure

  • Revenue Split: Net revenue from the sale of represented images will be split 50/50 between the Artist and Masure Gallery.
  • Production Costs: All production costs, including printing and framing, will be paid to The Print Refinery at their standard retail rates. These costs will be deducted from the gross revenue before calculating the net revenue split.
  • Event & Show Fees: Any fees associated with events, exhibitions, or shows, including percentage-based fees outside of the Gallery, will also be deducted from gross revenue before calculating the net revenue split.
  • Agent Commission: If applicable, a 5% commission on gross revenue will be paid by the Gallery to the representing agent. The Gallery covers this commission and does not reduce the Artist’s share of the net revenue.

Types of Image Sales and Classifications

Unlimited Prints

These prints are sold with a digital image title and the photographer’s name printed on an oversized white border. Each print includes a Masure Gallery authentication stamp. There is no limit to the number of prints produced in this category.

Unlimited Signed Prints

This format includes all features of an Unlimited Print, with the addition of the photographer’s wet signature and image title. A Masure Gallery authentication stamp is also included.

Limited Edition Collector's Museum Prints

Reserved for special showings and exhibitions, Limited Edition Prints are produced on fine art paper specifically selected to complement the image.

Limited Edition Collector’s Museum Prints:

  • Each print is signed by the photographer with a wet signature for authenticity.
  • Every piece is stamped by Masure Gallery to certify provenance and guarantee originality.

Limited Edition Collector's Museum Prints are produced upon request and offered in various sizes within predefined series established by the Gallery. Customers may select an available edition number at the time of purchase.

Edition numbers represent the total prints in the series and are size-dependent. There are no separate editions for different sizes; each edition number is unique across all sizes. Only one “Number One” edition exists within the entire series.

Unlimited Special Substrate Requests

These are Unlimited Prints requested by customers to be printed on alternative substrates, such as metal, acrylic, or canvas, instead of the standard paper format. These requests are fulfilled based on availability and suitability for the image.

Sales Avenues

The Masure Gallery utilizes a variety of channels to promote and sell represented images, ensuring maximum exposure and opportunity for artists:

Gallery Showroom

A curated selection of works, including Unlimited Prints, Unlimited Signed Prints, and available Limited Edition Prints, will always be available for purchase during regular business hours at Fort Worth Camera.

Art Events & Exhibitions

The Gallery actively participates in local and regional art events, pop-ups, and exhibitions. As a member of various arts associations, Masure Gallery leverages these opportunities to showcase and sell artwork to new and diverse audiences.

Online Sales – MasureGallery.com

The Gallery maintains an e-commerce platform at MasureGallery.com, where customers can browse and purchase available prints, including both open-edition and limited-edition pieces.

Agency Referrals

Masure Gallery collaborates with creative agencies, interior designers, and consultants who may refer clients for custom or curated image selections. These referrals help expand the reach of represented artists into commercial and private spaces.

Photographer-Directed Sales

Photographers are encouraged to bring in their own clients. When a sale is made through a photographer’s direct referral, the Gallery will honor the standard compensation structure and award the photographer the 5% agent commissiontypically reserved for external representatives. The Gallery will continue to provide full support in production, fulfillment, and presentation.

Image Submission Requirements

To ensure the highest standards of quality and consistency, all submitted images must meet the following criteria:

1. Qualified & Accepted Images

  • Only qualified and approved images will be accepted for representation by the Masure Gallery of Photography.
  • All photographers must certify that they are the rightful owners of the submitted images and hold full copyright.

2. Image Quality Standards

  • All images must be of sufficient resolution and quality to support professional printing.
  • Depending on the integrity of the file, the print size may be limited to ensure optimal output quality.

3. Image Metadata Requirements

As part of our commitment to promoting and supporting the art and craft of photography, Masure Gallery and Fort Worth Camera request that all submissions include the following metadata:

  • Image capture date
  • Camera brand and model
  • Lens focal length
  • Aperture (f-stop)
  • ISO
  • Shutter speed

This information helps us better understand the technical context of the image and supports educational and promotional efforts.

4. File Format Guidelines

To ensure flexibility across production and promotional platforms, please submit your image files in the following formats when possible:

  • RAW file (with desired presets applied) – for archival and production purposes
  • TIFF file – print-ready, high-resolution format
  • JPEG file – optimized for web and promotional use

5. Cropping & Print Sizes

Custom cropping is acceptable; however, images with unconventional aspect ratios will be printed with a white border around the outer perimeter to fit standard frame sizes. This approach increases the likelihood of sales by making framing more accessible and cost-effective for customers, as it eliminates the need for custom framing.

By submitting an image for consideration, the Artist acknowledges and agrees to the terms outlined above and certifies that they are the rightful owners of the submitted images and hold full copyright.
